Thanks to the help of Experimental Aviation Association Chapter 96th (EAA 96), access to their Young Eagles Program will be provided at our event.  Young Eagles is a national program that provides youth with an aviation orientation and guidance, if interested, in pursuing an interest in aviation. It is limited to youth ages 8-17 and includes a short ride in an aircraft.

EAA is a national organization founded in 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by those men and women who were interested in building their own airplanes. Since that time, EAA has grown worldwide into over 1,000 Chapters of pilots, builders, restorers, engineers, and enthusiasts focused on the preservation of flight through construction of personal aircraft. We are fortunate to have an EAA Chapter based at Compton Woodley Airport.

The Young Eagles Program is an extension of EAA. In addition to the age of youth, a parent or guardian of the youth must be present to sign and authorize this flight. This results in additional protections for participants.

As of February 13, 2017, over 2 million Young Eagles have been given their first flights! Woodley's Wings & Wheels welcomes EAA and Young Eagles as a major feature of our Open House and STEM Expo!
